Began Again

£1,699.00

Began Again is about the small kind of beginning. Not the dramatic, everything-changes-overnight kind, but the moment you look back and you realise you are not exactly where you were anymore.

The painting has a pale, open centre with soft green forms sitting low in the composition, almost like the land is just starting to appear through morning air. There is a gentleness to it, but also a sense of space; as though something has cleared enough for the next part to begin.

This piece would suit a room that needs lightness without feeling empty. A bedroom, hallway, reading corner or home office where the artwork can sit and make the space feel more settled.

The Spring Collection is a series of original paintings about the return of colour, light and feeling.

Rather than painting spring as something sudden or decorative, this body of work looks at the smaller shift that happens first: a paler sky, a warmer edge of light, green beginning to appear again, the sense that something has started moving before it can fully be explained.

These paintings are not exact landscapes. They are shaped by morning light, open skies and places from my memories, but they are also about the feeling of coming back to yourself after a colder quieter season.

Each piece is made to bring softness, depth and a sense of return into the home without overwhelming the room.

Original works by Kinga Makowka, created as part of the Spring Collection, 2026.
