Coming Back
Coming Back is about the moment colour and joy starts to feel possible again.
This piece has a brighter, more open feeling within the Spring Collection. The pale blue space gives it room to breathe, while the touches of pink, green and warmer tones bring a sense of life returning to the surface.
It feels like the part of spring where you start noticing colour again, not just outside, but in the way a room feels, in the things you reach for, and in the small choices that make life feel a little more yours.
This painting would suit a living room, bedroom, hallway or reading space where the artwork can bring freshness, softness and a gentle lift without overwhelming the room.
The Spring Collection is a series of original paintings about the return of colour, light and feeling.
Rather than painting spring as something sudden or decorative, this body of work looks at the smaller shift that happens first: a paler sky, a warmer edge of light, green beginning to appear again, the sense that something has started moving before it can fully be explained.
These paintings are not exact landscapes. They are shaped by morning light, open skies and places from my memories, but they are also about the feeling of coming back to yourself after a colder quieter season.
Each piece is made to bring softness, depth and a sense of return into the home without overwhelming the room.
Original works by Kinga Makowka, created as part of the Spring Collection, 2026.
