Spring Sky

£7,399.00

Spring Sky is the largest piece in the Spring Collection, measuring 156 × 126.5 cm.

It is about that early spring moment when the sky is still pale and cold, but the colours underneath are starting to wake up. Not the dramatic part of spring, but rather where the light looks slightly different, the grass has a little more green in it, and you notice something has shifted before you can fully explain it.

Because of its scale, this painting has a real effect on a room. The soft blues, greens and pale neutral tones create an open feeling, while the loose edges and layered colour keep the piece natural rather than overly polished.

It would suit a large wall in a living room, dining room, bedroom, hallway or calm working space; somewhere the artwork can bring light, scale and a sense of openness without feeling heavy.

The Spring Collection is a series of original paintings about the return of colour, light and feeling.

Rather than painting spring as something sudden or decorative, this body of work looks at the smaller shift that happens first: a paler sky, a warmer edge of light, green beginning to appear again, the sense that something has started moving before it can fully be explained.

These paintings are not exact landscapes. They are shaped by morning light, open skies and places from my memories, but they are also about the feeling of coming back to yourself after a colder quieter season.

Each piece is made to bring softness, depth and a sense of return into the home without overwhelming the room.

Original works by Kinga Makowka, created as part of the Spring Collection, 2026.
